I hear it all the time from our clients. They don’t know what to post or when to post. They feel frustrated when they do put in the time and effort on social content  – because they don’t really see any results.

One is don’t spend hours each month on your social media. Spend about 2 hours a month creating content. And about 2 hours per month supporting your online content and audience. 

Why? Well, that leads me into number two. Use social media to build your relationships, not only as a selling tool. 

Selling on social media is a skill. It takes time, effort, and intention. For many of us, it is not our intention to create big Facebook sales funnels. So let’s take it slow and steady and use social media to build our relationships with the people we are connected to. This will keep you top of mind with your referral networks. This is where 80% of Small Businesses get their best leads! 

With those two points in mind – you can sit down at the start of the month and plan out what it is you want to share with your audience this month to build your relationship with them. 

Don’t put too much pressure on yourself!  Focus on putting out 2-4 pieces of content per week that will inspire, educate, or entertain your audience. Of course, you can always do more and implement 100 different strategies to really hack your social media platforms. But by just doing something each month – and doing that month over month – you build consistency and trust with your audience.
